"Don't make excuses for her. That was pathetic."

This post's title, by the way, comes from CNN's Jack Cafferty to Wolf Blitzer in response to seeing a clip of the interview Palin did with Katie Couric.

Now watch this fine video about Palin:

I know, everyone! Let's vote McCain-Palin for Prezidant!

Funny ha-ha?

Or Funny run-screaming-from-the-room?

The beauty-pagent clips? Unfair. The gun-firing thing? Given the opportunity, I admit I'd love to shoot a weapon like that.

Everything else? Totally fair game.

So to speak.

I'm horrified and laughing at the same time. Is there a word for the such bizarre emotions I feel when viewing this? Is the Republican party doing some mass interactive art self-parody? Because if they are it's great!

P.S. I'm swiping this and thank you!

I don't know, if McCain/Pallin can focus in on what was Obama doing in a room with Ayers then I suppose we can focus in on what Pallin was doing parading her body around like so much meat.

I don't care for the tit-for-tat mentality. And while I don't enjoy or appreciate the culture of pageants, I recognize they aren't a bad way for cute young women to make a spot of money. I feel the same way about stripping, though, so it's likely that our opinions differ on the acceptableness of "parading one's body around like so much meat."

(edited for apostrophe abuse! oops!)

Really? Because I see pageants and stripping to be for women what minstrel shows are for black people. Objectification is demeaning in any form and definitely not a good way to make money.
