Twitter: I don't get it.

Do you? If so, what am I not getting? Mostly, I find "tweets" irritating and lacking in anything I'd want to read. Despite the cute name.

Are people texting these in from their phones? If so, they're paying 10 cents per tweet? Um, wow.

I think most people who do it have unlimited texting. Me, I have a pay-as-you-go cell phone for emergencies, so no twittering for me. Plus I think it's annoying.

Oh, true. I forget about those folks! I just don't like that kind of access, I think, and don't want to encourage it. I use the minimum cell-phone plan with no free texts or internet, have no home phone, and I usually leave my cell out of hearing range (and it's on buzz, not ring).
