mckitterick | LJ issue re: selecting text

Okay, why the heck did LJ remove the ability to select text (using a mouse or touchpad)? This makes it impossible to use the "Quote" feature as well as making it more difficult to copy a post before hitting the "Update Journal" button (as I always due, in case of posting failure). Now I have to place my cursor at the end or beginning of a post or response, then use the arrow keys to select. Harumph.

Any tips?

EDIT: You can fix this yourself by going to the "Viewing Options" page. Stoopid LJ trying to "make things better" by getting in our fucking way. Thanks to
