Good news about dog ownership: New research shows that patting a dog improves heart and lung function 24%. There ya go. Not sure if they accounted for allergies, though.

Oh, and more dog news. What a hoot!

Whose heart/lung function improves -- the dog's, or the patter's?

24% Increase - At this rate my heart with explode. Roe's taken to lying on his back near me so I can rub his belly in passing. We can't take much more health increases.

I think they mean improved function, not heart rate. In fact, I recall some mention of reduced blood pressure. Good for recent heart-surgery types.

Roe is such a cutie!
