Dear friends -
Just a quick report about my reading at Henry's in Lawrence. It went great! Not only does it feel good to read in public again, but I got a lot of great responses. This included laughter that made me wait for it to subside (always a surprise, considering that this is pretty emotionally heavy stuff), lots of really positive feedback from people whose opinions I respect, and an hour-long discussion afterward that grew out of my reading. Yay! It seems I'm going in the right direction with this fictional memoir thing, so I'll keep at it.
