Why are these guys in charge of our country again? Oh, yeah, because cronies (note how I don't use the conspiracy-theory language) put them there in exchange for giant piles of cash, which in turn they got for giving them giant piles of cash... but wait, if they're both giving each other giant piles of cash, where does that money come from? Oh, yeah, us.

Lawrence Book Crawl

Cool book event coming up here in town, set up by Ruth Lichtwardt (KaCSFFS President, Campbell Conference book-signing host, and book-buyer at the Oread Bookstore):

KaCSFFS is planning on holding a book crawl here in Lawrence on Saturday, Sept. 30. We'll be meeting at the Half Price Books on 23rd Street, then heading to Oread Books (of course), then going downtown to visit the stores there, and finishing up with dinner. More info as it's planned. We'd love it if you can join in!
