On August 28th, we'll have a total lunar eclipse. For those of you on the West Coast, it'll start barely on the 28th at 12:54 AM; that's 2:54 AM for Central Time and, what, an hour later for East Coasters, right? We'll reach full totality two hours later (that's about 5:00 AM for us Centralites).
So when you go to bed on the 27th, set your alarm to wake you in the wee hours to catch this astronomical event! If you don't want to watch the full event as shown in the photo-montage below, just try to catch the middle section (about half an hour before and after totality).
