Hey, folks, whaddya think of my new glasses? A self-portrait in my living room:
REDrum
They arrived today and I likes 'em. They're Scandinavian, black on front and mustard on the sides and inside.

They look great, but you look kind of red... too much sun since you left Seattle, clearly.

Har har har. I tried it with a flash... not so good. The wall behind is red, the insulated shirt I'm wearing is red, and the camera seems to absorb red light best at low-light levels. Sigh.

Love your cosmic-background image icon, btw.

They look great, but for some reason I get the feeling that you are angry.

That mustard on the sides and inside can be washed off, y'know...

New Glasses

Hey nice glasses Chris. Did you get a hair cut??? Your Mom got new glasses last month too. Well good luck with your new specks. They look cool. Mel

Tres hip. You're now too cool for school.

Well, geez, I guess I can't escape the professorialness, eh? At least it's chic *sigh*

From: [identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com

Thank you, kind miss. So far: chic, nifty, and snazzy, aw yeah!

Thank you! Pleased to hear a stylish lass like you likes 'em.

Hm. Well, perhaps you're sensing the RAGE IN THE MACHINE that took the photo. I can't help the poor thing; when it gets in an uproar, I just have to keep taking photos until it settles down. You should see when it starts fomenting trouble with the TV and the Martin-Logans....

Hey, I'd like to see you do better in a dark room and a self-portrait *g*

Re: New Glasses

Thank you, mister man! Yep, I cut off most of it a month ago when... well, it's a long story....

Huh! I wouldn't've thunk "rustic," but that's a comfort, actually!

From: [identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com

Well, now they're hip, rustic, chic, nifty, and snazzy. A worthy choice, I must say. Too bad about not being able to wear 'em to class, though. Ah, well, the schoolers will just have to get used to 'em.

You need to start writing performance pieces or Beat poetry or something.

Stylish! Very stylish. You shoulda gone for black plastic frames a long time ago. It's a good look on you!

I don't know, man. I hate to be the lone dissenting voice, but they're not grabbing me (yet). They overpower your features for me. I like the old ones. (Change bad! Change bad!)

Why, you just get more and more handsome all the time!

Not that I'm biased to buzzed-cut fellas with goatees or anything, no, not me.
The sideboards are a nice touch too... um.. sorry, sideburns, been talkin' with me mates back 'ome.

De fella and I are up for new specs an all as well. I hope we can find sometink 'arf as posh for our ol selves.

MaybeBaby de cat approves too. she's clawing at my lap to get another look at you.

Why, thankee! And I appreciate the glimpse into alien-speak *g*

From: [identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com

I appreciate your honesty and resistance to change *g* But just wait: Next year when I decide to change 'em again, you'll say, "But I like your old ones better." *g*

From: [identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com

Thanks! I resisted heavy frames for a long time for a variety of reasons, but now that it's all mainstream-like, I have my chance!

From: [identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com

Hey, that's pretty cool! (Oddly enough, I read it as "Spouse" for about half the article *g*) They're getting Scousier!

I found it interesting that John Constantine is listed on Wikipedia as a fictional character with a Scouser accent (of course he was born there) but that's a total misnomer if you check the movie.
Keanu/Constantine definitely does not have a Scouser accent.
Pisspoor casting, that.
