Last night in San Francisco was definitely an L=2! We were lucky, it went into totality at about 3am, and about 65 degrees above the horizon. Very much like the pictures you have above, except that the "shadow" came in from the top left and descended to the bottom right. I tried to get some pics, but our camera's zoom just wasn't powerful enough to get in close enough, and I should have dug out the tripod.

I'm not a Burning Man type of guy, but I bet they had a great view from the playa. Except for the distraction of the Man prematurely going up in flames!
