Old info, with a menu. I love that they have the wrong location on their own site!

You can't even compare Buffalo Bob's with this place! We went there on their second night on Mass St, and it was great. I had rib tips (mmmmmm!) with a side of beans (yum!) and corn bread (yow!), and Kij had a pulled-something-or-other sandwich (which she loved) plus the best bloody mary ever (roasted tomatoes). The best sauces and mustard. All for less money than most places, and enough to take home and eat a second meal.

Highly recommeded! And wonderful service. Go there and help keep them in business!

"Price range $5 to $15." In Manhattan you can't get a glass of water for $5.

!!! There are a lot of reasons to love Lawrence, this being one of them. Another is the comment from a store clerk on Saturday: "People always say, 'Wow, you must get a lot of trouble selling this stuff [liberal propoganda] in Kansas,' but I tell them, 'This isn't Kansas, it's Lawrence.'"

I'm curious why not? (We have eaten from both - though not in Vermont's new location but we used to call ahead and grab stuff to take home from there).

Well, Bob's is okay, but the place just isn't that friendly and the food just isn't as good. For the same price, why go to BB's?

It was probably the pulled pork. My favorite!!!

Well, in my experience, Buffalo Bob's = mediocre food served cold, with service to match.

I'm curious because when we had Pooch's congrats on passing quals party atu buffalo bob's there were 3-4 people who would not attend because of where we had it. We have never had bad food, cold food, or anything but amazing service there. Must be the alternative universe we live in. Also BB has a mild sause that I can actually eat (Vermont street I have to get sauseless when we got take out from them - but they were very conveient for take out)

I liked Quick's the one time I got carryout, if you haven't tried it yet. I was very fond of the chicken I got from there.

The burnt ends were also very tasty, and one of my favorite items on a BBQ menu, and not one I've seen elsewhere in town.

I have yet to find a BBQ joint that does both Beef AND Pork ribs.

I do need to find a place to have my rehearsal dinner on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Would this be a recommendation?

Well, if you like mild BBQ, that might explain your appreciation of Bob's. Me, I like a bit of zing with my BBQ!

That would be a fun choice! Depends on what kind of scene you want: This place is laid-back, youthful, local, and not real "dressy," though it's cleaned up since Paradise left. You two oughta go there some time and get a feel for it. Let us know if youse guys need dinner companions!

Beef ribs *and* pork ribs?

Not the last time I was there. Nor ever that I have been there.

Yes, I've heard that Lawrence is something of an oasis. Who knew the food was cheap, too?
