I'm doing a panel called, "You Got SF in My Horror! You Got Horror in My Fantasy!" at 3pm with these folks: Allison Stein, Jim Butcher, John Ringo, Crispin Burnham, and Stephen Pagel.

What's ConQuesT, say you?

Yeah, me too. The car conspired to keep me in Lawrence (front brakes went OUT completely; had to get new rotors and pads, and it's still up on a jack in the driveway). I will plan a backup car for next year (didn't want to take the cycle with thunderstorm warnings about), and expect the con planners will have schedules ready in advance (no one on panelling got a schedule, so I didn't know until the day before -- when Ruth checked for me -- that I was supposed to be there)! It's not always like that, is it?

If Kij doesn't go to WisCon next year, we'll likely go for the whole weekend and stay over.

Best,
Chris

not only didn't we get schedules in advance, didn't get at checkin, had to check on a board by registration, and I didn't realize that Sunday was ON THE BACK so I walked into a panel sunday expecting to be in the audiance and I was on the panel!

Oh my. Did the person in charge of scheduling disappear this year or something? Jim Gunn didn't even go this year -- it's the only con he goes to anymore due to distance -- because he thought he wasn't scheduled. He got a call from a fan who brought dozens of books to sign, so the fan came over here to his office to get them signed.

Sigh.
