Tatsuko, basking in the heat

Tatsuko, being a cat, likes things hot. It's hot in Kansas in the late summer. I close the vents in the upstairs of my house in the summer, because why cool the parts I don't use? So it's even hotter up there, usually about 10 degrees cooler than outside. Tatsuko spends the majority of the afternoons in the (empty) upstairs bedroom, basking:

"Aaaah, boiling hot, just the way I like it!"

I know from sad personal experience that even though she *seems* to be inviting a bellyrub, in reality she is pointy on 5 of her 6 ends and is just trying to lure you closer because she knows that you are made of meat.

That is so true. Actually, I think she might be inviting a bellyrub... of doooom! She likes the taste of human blood. She purrs when she mauls you, as if to say, "I'm harmless, well, except for this minor indiscretion."

She's a happy, healthy girl! Lighter than I'd like (under 7 pounds), but doesn't have any problems. So!
