Just when you thought it was safe to travel back to Jurassic Park, scientists (from the University of Kansas, no less!) discover Sinornithosaurus, a poisonous Velociraptor:

Because Velociraptor wasn't scary enough.

I'm sure this will greatly comfort Randall Munroe.

Poisonous terror thing! How cool is that!

Also, the xkcd comic put me in tears of laughter. (Why yes, I am cleaning up someone else's code today.)

I try to work in at least one XKCD each semester in my tech-writing class, partially to entertain the computer, engineering, science, and even art and creative-writing students. I loves it!

But I *am* safe from zombies! At least, as long as the ammo holds out.

I remember those dudes in Jurassic Park (And the successively lamer sequels.) Poison seemed a bit de trop. Though I suppose a poisonous velociraptor wouldn't need no steenking pack to hunt with.
