I think that irony would be slipping and falling *after* you put on the de-icer. While putting it on, you just slipped on ice. I've almost slipped once doing the same activity on my Driveway Of Doom--Doom's Driveway!

I did! I should have been clear: I was on my way back to the house when I slipped. The salt had not yet done much to the ice :-/

Even more awesome would be the unopened bag of ice melt sitting by the house, encased in an inch of unbreakable ice. And if the ice was clear enough to see the writing on the bag, a really cool picture too.
