Ah'm sure you saw this coming. So I finished writing Empire Ship late last night, but that doesn't mean it's done. Today I spent a good part of the day in the lobby of the Tempe Mission Palms hotel revising while occasionally chatting with people I only get to see once or twice a year.
Revision details:
. Final-er word count is 134,816 - a gain of more than 1000 words from when I called it done (133,771). Do not expect this to be the actual word count....
. Final-er page count of 440 - a gain of only two from the last update (438) - this because of chapter-break weirdness.
. I'll be sending it to the Tor editor as soon as he replies to my email saying it's ready for him. If that takes more than a few days, I suspect I'll keep polishing.
