This is from Lisa Yaszek from the Georgia Institute of Technology:

I'm now pleased to officially invite you all to our symposium on "Monstrous Bodies in Science, Fiction, and Culture," which will take place at Georgia Tech on March 31 and April 1 (with a week of preliminary events leading up to the symposium itself).

Our special guests of honor are two leading figures in fantastic art and scholarship: science fiction author Paul di Filippo and popular culture expert Rhonda Wilcox. Di Filippo will read an original short story written for the symposium, and Wilcox will read excerpts from her forthcoming book, Why Buffy Matters: The Art of Television.

Additionally, the Monstrous Bodies symposium will feature student research on and creative writing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and the gothic. The symposium will also include art and film exhibits as
well as presentations by local scholars, science fiction writers, editors, publishers, and artists from CArtoon Network's Adult Swim. For a full program and more information about our symposium participants, see our website at http: //monstrousbodies.lcc.gatech.edu.

Feel free to email me privately if you have any other questions.

Best--Lisa
