*Sigh* I've been up for a couple of hours now. I think I woke up when I heard ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tatsuko_shikibu eating her crunchy food; this means that she is out of soft food, and only soft food prevents her odd little esophagus from doing odd things and causing her to barf (why do we let animals live with us? Oh, yeah, the love thing). Is it insomnia if you wake up after most of a night's sleep?
So I got up and fed her half a can (her usual twice-daily dose) of Iams soft food. She purred so loudly she overpowered the morning birdcalls. Gobble. I tried to go back to sleep to no avail, so came up here to check email (got another nine final projects from students), read LJ, and check eBay (well, you never know). I dread the afternoon.
Sun's just about cleared the horizon now. When I woke, the moon was a gorgeous and bright waning gibbous, and the stars were barely visible with the approaching dawn and moonlight.
