I just heard on NPR that places in Minnesota and the Dakotas have night-time lows as cold as - get this - thirty degrees below zero (yes, -30F). That's without wind-chill. Wow. Now I feel like a wuss for shivering so hard on my scoot-ride home last night in the teens.
