Blah. Been feeling physically down for a few days, and it finally whacked me today. Woke up not only sore-throated but feverish and sore of joints. Thought my morning sit-ups would help loosen up the back, but no go. Same for push-ups. Nose running, eyes watering. Thought it was only allergies, but the rest sorta makes me think it's a real cold.

My favorite part is the 4-1/2 hours of lecturing today. Double blah.

I very seldom get sick, so something nasty is out there. Beware! Take your vitamins.

Chris, make sure you are drinking extra water. The fluids will help with the achy feeling and it will flush out your system. Hope you feel better soon.

Good thinking. I've discovered by weighing myself at bedtime and in the morning that I typically lose 3-4 pounds of water weight during the night, so I need to drink lots to stay hydrated, especially with a runny nose.

There's definitely something going around. I got it last week (and I'm still getting over it). Someone else at work stayed home sick today. I've still got a little cough ...

take care ...

PS - Was a consensus arrived at regarding game night?

Yeah, an informal survey of my classes shows most are suffering something. Biological warfare, says I.

Sort of the opposite of consensus on game night! Feh. I'm evaluating. Might be a little bit before I start it up, but I'll post it to my LJ.

I hope you feel better soon, Chris. In my experience, if you have sore throat and a fever, sit-ups and push-ups rarely help. This is a popular myth among drill instructors, martial arts masters, and the like. In my opinion, a long nap is the true path. Maybe several long naps. I'm just saying . . . .

I went the long-nap route today, sleeping some 10 hours. Feel much better, but still about 70% of normal. Blah.
