Wow! It seems there's a hero dog in Seattle (from CNN): According to CNN on TV, his owner had collapsed from a diabetic seizure when Percy the St. Bernard dialed 911 and howled into the phone until help arrived. (Unfortunately, the written story is less exciting, sigh.)

Still, what a hero doggie!

My favorite sidebar bit from The Onion, where they have the one-sentence headlines, is HEROIC TURTLE DIALS MOST OF 911 under a picture of a house completely engulfed in flames.
