mckitterick: (Look into the sun! Look into the sun!)
([personal profile] mckitterick Feb. 19th, 2006 04:20 pm)
So I just woke up about an hour ago: Wow, that's more than 12 hours asleep. I would have preferred to have fallen asleep when I first tried last night so I would have awoken by noon at that rate, but mostly I would prefer not to feel so wrung out. I'm pondering how I'll be capable of teaching tomorrow night if I feel worse today than I did yesterday. Maybe I'll ask one of my students to lead the discussion, or all of them...? I don't think I can ask another teacher to teach this class: It's only in its third offering, no one else teaches it, it's in a town 30 miles away, and it's a night class.

Stupid cold/flu thing. I saw on the nationwide cold/flu measure that Kansas is in the red or "widespread" category: Everyone in the state is exposed to illness right now.

It sucks not to have someone to take care of me when I'm sick, but I guess I made that bed myself, didn't I?

Here's hoping you avoid catching it,
Chris

What is your favorite animal? Maybe I could knit you a suggle animal. They help with the cold and sniffles. Mine does. He's name is Bunny T. Rabbit. I've had him since I was three. Let me know if I can help. Get well soon.

And you make lovely animals! I'm a fan of monkeys, of course ;-)

I'm feeling a little better already, thank you!

Thank you! I'm feeling a lot better tonight, though I don't know how much my _having to_ be well (for teaching) has to do with it. Mind over body and all that.
