Runaway come true


These robot cockroaches totally reminded me of the spidery robot things in the movie Runaway. Blast from the past! I couldn't remember the name of the movie, and was wracking my brain looking around on google. I was looking around on the computer and one of my residents asked what I was looking for. So I told him about the article and about the snatches of movie bits that I was remembering, and he said, "Oh yeah, the Tom Selleck movie." Hallelujah! So I found it. Good movie. We watched the trailer and laughed at all the 80s hair. hee hee.

One of my dispondent friends is still upset that his formerly unarmed recon device is now an armed hunter killer out there winning the WhatEverOnWhomEver.... granted they do not yet have an AI in those devices, but, with just a little bit of time....

The second most comical part was watching some of the Alledgedly Conservative do the complete Brain Fade by forgetting what it took, in the the old days, to become a member of the Old School Tie Military-Industrial Complex, prior to it getting downgraded to merely the Military-Infotainment Complex. Ah yes, back in the day when.....

Ah yes, the scary world back before everyone Accepted that without the Karl Rove Armoured Flying Saucer Korp, americans would all be speaking vietnamese now....
