I stumbled across that one yesterday and enjoyed every word of it. I posted a link for the KDL crowd, but no one has commented on it yet. I was exposed to Star Trek at the tender age of 3, and it had a profound influence on the shaping of my worldview. Although I've seen most of the episodes of Classic Trek dozens of times as a teenager, I rewatched them again recently with my jaded adult eyes. Roddenberry truly pulled off a coup for his time -- political and social commentary disguised as sci-fi adventure which has endured and influenced legions.
