Thanks (or curses) to jenocp, who extracted all the words from Kenya:

We’re gonna see lions
Only in Kenya
Going to Kenya, we’ve got lions
We’re gonna see tigers
Only in Kenya
Got lions and tigers only in Kenya
Forget Norway
Kenya, oh Kenya
Where the giraffes are and the zebra
Ah Kenya, Kenya, Kenya, Kenya
Ah Kenya, we’re going to Kenya
You can believe it

Now you can have ALL the words burning through your skull at night as you try to fall asleep...

MP3

Can you please point me to an MP3 rip of the song? That way, I can put it on the laptop/player and just hit "Repeat" to save myself the trouble of humming it all day long.

Or, I could just shoot myself to get it out of mY BRAIN! O CURSE YOU, McKITTERICK, FOR WHAT YOU HAVE WROUGHT!

Re: MP3

hahahahahaahaha!

Don't blame me, blame [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage.

Honestly, we throw the "meme" word around a lot on LJ, but I'm starting to worry that maybe there's a secret, hidden mind-virus embedded in that tune.

"we’ve got lions..."

Just FYI, the names of other animals -- such as "akitas," in my household -- can be profitably inserted into the Kenya song.

I cannot stop myself from doing the little stompy dance whenever I hear or sing or even think about this song. It's like instant aerobics.

When I'm on the screen to post a comment, by the subject line there is a light grey ghosted smiley face. When I click on it, other icons pop up and I can click on one or just click the ghosted smiley to not have one.

Re:

It could be... I was just going by what I can hear and my ears are currently stuffed up from this nasty cold I've had for weeks.
I think you are right. It makes more sense (if that's possible) for it to be "Ken-Ya believe it."
I think I'll edit my post to refect this.

Re:

I just re-listened to it and it sounds like "You can believe it."
Hmmm... I hate trying to guess lyrics because I'm almost always wrong.
