I guess it had to happen some time during the winter, eh? Last night at class, I began to feel headachey and sore-throatey. Went to bed with a few more symptoms, and woke up feeling 100% blah. I'm guessing spending all day last Saturday going from cold house to freezing-cold truck and so on while sweating and stirring up dust took its toll.

It's not a bad cold (he knocks on wood), but the worst part is the very sore throat... when I have two hours of lecture tonight. Feh.

Here's hoping you feel better than that.

Chris

EDIT: I want to go back to bed, but have office hours in 45 minutes. Feh.

You should be okay, you're a tough dude. Hopefully, you'll be good to go by Saturday (I just got my box in last night, ready to start with new craziness and deck designs.)

Make it numb.

Go to CVC or Walgreens and get things called (generically) Sore Throat Lozenges. They are up among the pills and sort of near the ICE brand of sore throat products. They actually numb your throat, and you can use it for a few minutes and put the remainder in a baggie for later use; because these things are *strong* and contain one of the -caine class of anaesthetics.

oops -- also take about 10,000 units of vitamin C, and do it for about 3 days. Whatever you have will flee screaming.

You can't overdose on C.

Curse this fragile meatsack existence! Don't overdo it. Caffeine and sweets will only carry you so far, and then your body stages a coup and your spleen crawls out of your mouth and tries to strangle you in your sleep. And who wants that?

Aw, shoot; and here I just had a bowl of Peanut Butter Crunch and a can of Diet Coke in hopes of chasing out the germs.

I guess I'll have to drink some actual vitamins, eh? In the form of vegetable matter, I suppose.
