Google has an amazing new project called "TiSP." You must check it out. Part of their "computer on every desk and a network in every pipe" long-term plan, I suspect.

What's extra-snazzy about this is that it's an example of an electronic documentation system as we discuss in the KU English 562: Advanced Technical Writing class.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] _starlady_ for the tip.

Well, meanwhile if you look up New Orleans on Google Maps you get pre-Katrina data. Yes, a time warp online.

http://scorpio-eccentricity.blogspot.com/2007/03/stunning.html has a link to the news story. "Governments and individuals make requests", indeed. And I bet they just *hopped* to comply. Feh!

Flushable internet??! Do you realize what this means???

The scary thing is, if Google really wanted to pull an April Fool's joke on us, they could probably pretend to be down for a day and cease Western commerce.

Um, no, actually I don't know what it means. Enlighten me!

If they pretended to be down, that would be less of a joke and more of an act of terrorism.
