Dear friends:

Please let me know if the astro-images I regularly post are too wide for your screen. I usually make them 500px wide, never wider than 600px. Is that too much?

I'll resize so they don't mess up your friends pages!

Thanks,
Chris

Don't bother resizing, just drop them behind an lj-cut. That way the "you're messing up my friends page" crowd will be happy, and those of us who love big sexy asto-images will also be happy.

Everybody happy! Peace reigns. Simple, innit? :)

The size doesn't particularly bother me. I loved the Jupiter pic.

Splendid idea. And those of us who are both sorts will be all gooey over ya too cos we get to have it all.

But isn't it irritating to have to click to see the photos? It irritates me to have to do so unless they mess up my Friends list (which is why I down-size some of them).

Hm.
Nope.
It would be cool if you could do a downsize that clicks to the Really Big Pic.
Then you're happy too... we're ALL happy.
I also have the image filter, so I suppose I've programmed myself to having to click to see pix and just don't think about it.

Actually, I do have the click-to-see-bigger option, too! If you click you go to the full story, often with a mondo-huge image.

Yeah, I bet it's just a matter of personal choice: Some people use the placeholders, others don't. I'll see if anyone is bugged by 'em.

No problems. I like seeing the pictures rather than following a cut.

Thank you for the feedback! I figured that's how I'd want it, but wanted to be sure.

Seems like an LJ cut is the best answer. If someone is irritated by having to click to see a photo, they've got bigger problems than their friends page.

So far, no one has complained about it, so I'm not going to use the LJ-cut. Why make people work for the images? I'll just make sure they're resized small enough.
