Technical Communication program at KU

Hi folks -

So I finished a big revision to the KUTC site and would like to hear what you think of it. If you were a current or potential student, or someone interested in collaborating with us via an internship at your workplace, does this address your needs?

EDIT: Anyone out there have a nicer shot of the entirety of the KU campus that I could use for the index page? Or another idea for an image? Something funkier and less KU-ey?

Is there a reason the program proposal loads as an RTF instead of an HTML page? Other than not wanting to convert all that (I don't blame you).

You might want to include the undergrad advisor info on the FAQ page. I'll email you those.

I don't know that I'd say "Professor McKitterick"...aren't you listed as a lecturer? Just politics, I know, but people around here get stupidly fixated on shit like that. You might wanna check with Bob. Also, your office number needs updated on the "Meet Chris..." page.

It looks really good! And yeah, a few graphics make all the difference, don't they? Congratulations on getting the site revised. It looks much more friendly than the previous incarnation.

Right, don't want to convert it until I've done a revision. I mean, why? Too much damned work until it's ready to go to the new Dean.

Thanks about the "professor" thing - my student worker must have done that last spring and I didn't even notice! Even though my contract paperwork says "0.8 Assistant Professor," I wouldn't be surprised if some full prof or someone looking to become so took umbrage, what with my Outlook saying "Lecturer."

My only complaint is that the picture on the main page doesn't address my aesthetic needs. Maybe find one less grainy. ^^

Other than that (which is just me being silly), it looks grand. The pictures on the other pages are really neat and add a lot to it.

If I wanted to be really silly, I guess I could critique the writing, but even I'm not *that* silly. At least not right now. ;)

Side note: "it looks grand" means "it addresses all the needs I could think of needing". Besides the pretty thing.

Thanks. Yeah, I would like a better shot for that page, but I wanted an all-campus photo and the free ones through KU are all low-res. *sigh*
