Amadinejad the Powerless (and more about Iran)

This post (thanks to arian1 for the tip) is very informative about how Iran's political system works. And it helps clarify just how powerless is Amadinejad. If Bush wants war with Iran, he can pretend that Amadinejad has real power; however, the facts argue against that, and our administration is fully aware of who is really in power over there.

Hey, that reminds me: I heard on a recent story that there are between 8,000 and 30,000 armed privateers fighting in Iraq right now. Yowza. But neither the State Department nor the Pentagon will verify or deny those numbers.
