Right now, Scarecrow Press is running a 40% off sale on their entire back-list, including books 1-4 of the important science-fiction anthology series, The Road to Science Fiction, edited and with valuable introductions to every story by James Gunn.

The paperback version of The Road to SF #3 was the first new book I ever bought with my own money, a purchase that changed my life by leading me toward a scholarly understanding of SF and, ultimately, toward working with Jim here at KU.

I know a lot of people who want to use these books in SF classes but put off purchasing due to cost (Scarecrow's prices are often steep). Well, now's your chance to save almost half, making these - and all of Scarecrow's back-list - very affordable.

Those would be great to own, and yes, the original price does seem expensive for paperback.

They are huge trade-paper books, but because it's a small-ish press, they can't afford to sell cheaply. Still.

The sale price is lower than the typical trade-paper book of this type.

Those are good prices. Some of books in the series are well over 500 pages. That's a bargain at that sale price.
