I sold the Lincoln. 'Twas the responsible thing to do, what with losing the nice MS paychecks and having a few other mechanical projects rarin' to go. But still.

All about it, with lots of pics:

Truly, it is the passing of an era. A moment of silence and respect, please.

::moment::

So, what are the other projects? Speed demon buggy? Rocket-powered motorcyle? Lawn-mower-powered paraglider?

Yeah.

The Lil' Vehicle of Danger for my "Build Your Own Street-Legal Sports Racing Car for Under $5000" book, and the 1972 Ford Hot Rod Wagon. Your ideas are good too.

Sorry to hear it! Sorry I never got to see the splendiferous thing.

I shudder to think how many boxes of tissue I'd go through if I ever had to...*choke*...sell my Fender.

No, I'd rather die of starvation under an overpass before I sold her.

Yeah, I'm only okay with selling it because it means no credit card debts plus money to get all that's needed to finish the two car projects. So it's not so much losing a Fender as gaining two other ones.

Sorry, dude; I told you I'd rather sell it to you! Now that I've done it once, I could help you do one for yourself with much less cost. Learned some stuff along the way.

Actually, though the Hot Rod Wagon is 1000+ pounds lighter, it is bigger and can carry MUCH more stuff and people. More of a truck. Plus more power. And cheaper.

Sorry to see it go from your life, but Pragmatic Me says I'm happy that it will go to someone who can drive it more--even year round. A daily driver 'rod is a happy 'rod!
