This video made me laugh out loud. A lot.

Best,
Chris

I know - I love this guy and the video. There's so much good and funny in it.

And he's nothing like the engineers I work with. He's somehow more cool...

Yeah, this could be a propaganda video for engineers: Look, we can be nerdy-cool and fun, too!

Well, based on my own experience, I think he's in the minority of engineers, though...

I know! That gave me a great-big smile to see him doing the same. He didn't show what happens after a few minutes of it, though :-)

Heh. I noted that he pointed out that corporal cuddling and the related cat yodelling caused the cat no harm, but made no such claims for the human involved.

On another note, I do believe I've been engaging in marathon lounging myself lately. It's nice to have a name for it, though. :-)

Hahahaha!

I had a kitty named Helen (full name: "The Great Helen of Peerless Whose Face Could Launch a Thousand Combines." Just "Helen" for short), and she would get all grouchy every so often. To help get her over this pissiness, I would pick her up and engage in corporal cuddling (excellent to have a term for it). I'd hold her and squeeze her and call her, well, "Helen." We'd do a call-and-response thing, me with English words and her with cat yodeling:

"Poor Helen."
"Rrar-rar-raawr."
"It's tough to be a Helen."
"Rrrrar-raar-raaar."
"And you don't get any respect."
"Rrrrraar-raaarr-raaaar!"

This would go on for a while, her claws slowly extending, until I felt she was at just the right level of getting out her emotions, when I'd let her down and pour her a nice bowl of food. She'd purr so loudly, rubbing her cheeks on the bowl, pressing agains me as I petted her. This would cure her grouchiness for as long as a week.

I miss Helen.

She was a great cat. And by "great" I mean "fluffy and grouchy and loved her dad to the exclusion of everyone else."

Hahahaha! That's true; I'd forgotten her level of jealousy. But she was also a slut, seeking love from all. But unwilling to share my love *g*

...though when I think about it, Helen sounded more like an old Volvo with a bad battery starting in the cold.

Yes, she was a much-better yodeler than Oscar, Ginger, or Zoey.

(see my little story about her, above)

That was so cool. I would have linked it based on seeing it here if I hadn't seen it in someone else's journal first.
