Who all's going to ConQuesT this year? It takes place over Memorial Day Weekend in Kansas City, in the Airport Hilton. I have a room (you really need to overnight it to enjoy the full experience, including the up-all-night con-suite) that's mostly full, but perhaps we could make room for another.

Hope to see you there!

Best,
Chris

I used to attend ConQuesT, because it was cheaper than Balticon!

Balticon was held at an Omni hotel in the inner harbor. It was cheaper to fly to KC and stay in the ConQuesT hotel than to drive the two hours to Baltimore, park the car, and stay at the Omni.

But they moved Balticon to Townsend, a very nice hotel (that the media conventions of Shore Leave and Far Point have been using for years) that's about a hundred bucks cheaper (per night) than the omni, and has free parking.

So... sorry ConQuesT. Maybe when you bring me in as a guest... ;)

Wow, that's kind of sad. But cool that it brought you here.

I don't think they allow "guest" passes any more, if they ever did. It's not a huge con! But, dude, I'm sure you could do panelling and get in that-a-way.

oh yeah, I don't doubt that. I don't go to cons that won't let me do programming, and I don't go to cons where they expect me to pay (the worldcon and world fantasy are the exceptions, and so far the worldcon has always paid me back).

nyah, I'll wait until I sell some awesome novel and/or win some awesome award and ConQuesT takes notices and invites me as a GoH. :)

They do comp passes if you are a guest participating in the programming.

For other people, or the participant? I understood that it's participant only....

Participant only. They'll do a discount for family of the guest. I guess I was confused about what you meant about "guest passes."
