...and the past closer.

I just got an email from my second college room-mate at my second undergraduate college, my first in Eau Claire, Wisconsin: David Egan. That was... OMG, more than half my life ago. Two complete marriages ago. Ooof.

Proof that we were friends a long time ago is that he reminded me of some of our adventures that I'd completely forgotten. It's nice to be reminded of such things, so one's stories don't grow stale *g* Next time we're out for beers, dear reader, ask me about Acid Andy. (No, I won't disclose it here.)

The years, they keep dissolving behind us. But the people we knew, they're still around, and their lives have followed their own trajectories completely apart from ours.

Best,
Chris

Darn, I think it'll be a Very Long Time before I get to hear about Acid Andy.

In December, I got an email from a friend of mine in grad school (he found me via FaceBook), hadn't talked to him in well, probably 18 years. We recently did a little chat (he lives in London now) and it was like old times.

I'd be even more freaked out if it was a call from your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.

OMG, more than half my life ago...Ooof.

I've been having the exact same reaction to my recent acknowledgment of the passage of time. *OMG* and *Ooof* are appropriate life tags.

Acid Andy

I went to college in Eau Claire in the late 70s and was just wondering what had ever happened to Acid Andy? I found reference to him on a local Urban Legend Page that talked of him as he was just a legend. I used to spend time talking to him so I know he was real but never was sure how he became the way he was. At any rate I am curious what ever happened to him?

Re: Acid Andy

I know I am really late on this but I have heard he passed. He was a real person because as a kid he used to ride his bike around our neighborhood.
