I got it from Livia L (don't know how embed lj links into posts (and too lazy to learn ;-0 )

That is awesome and it's been there for a year!

Whoah, awesome! You're right!

Must be the overwhelming "this helped me" responses. I added one, too ;-)

Love his other reviews, too. Sort of Dadaist, methinks.

Om man, that was fantastic! Thank you for brightening up a deadly dull afternoon!

Ah good -- a review that has substance!

[identity profile] bountifulpots.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a beautiful thing. :D

I appreciate how the reviewer has avoided Amazon's Review Removal Crew -- a lesson to us all. Make the first paragraph straight.

[identity profile] stuology.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG!! That is the BEST THING EVER!

I have to screen capture it before it goes away.

That many people doing comments in the spirit of the review is amazing, I only saw maybe 3 that had issues with it.

Oh, thank you for the laughs! That was freaking amazing...

Added mine to the "found this review helpful" clicks.

. . . dismayed by my overall personal street value of roughly $15.

Heh.

Funny. I think it's fake, though. His spelling is too good.

Now, now. Some prisoners are excellent spellers.

Utterly brilliant.

That is quite fabulous! SMILE! Thanks.

Awesome. I have absolutely no interest in reading The Secret, but I can see myself reading a book by that reviewer.

[identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com 2009-01-13 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'd read that book.

[identity profile] tully01.livejournal.com 2009-01-09 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
I ordered the book but it was never delivered. The day it was supposed to arrive a UPS man named Marcus rang my doorbell. He shivved me when I answered the door. He left me bleeding in the doorway and drove off, muttering something about "not even worth the Pruno."

It's all so confusing.

The comments many people are leaving are almost as amusing as the original post. This is my favorite so far

I found this review very unhelpful. I recently took a long journey on a pleasure yacht which was overtaken by pirates. Having read Ari's review, I quickly raced down into my stateroom to recover my copy of The Secret and turned to Chapter 6. Alas, no shiv, whereby I was shortly apprehended by the Captain and his fearsome crew. Apparently, in some books the shiv is embedded in Chapter 7, I was informed as I walked the plank. I currently reside in the belly of a huge whale.

[identity profile] amnesiacat.livejournal.com 2009-01-09 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
While my copy did not come with a shiv, it did come with a rock hammer and a fold-out poster of Rita Hayworth. It seems the author has shifted their focus of confronting your problems head-on to escapism.

This one had me laughing so hard coffee came out my nose. ^-^

Hahahaha!
