First, is it not possible for cells from elsewhere in space to have alighted on the earth thereby making abiogenesis possible? Why does it have to be one or the other? Seems to me that the chemical process might still have happened with a little help from out friends.
Does anyone else crack up laughing at the concept of panspermia? I mean, other than the visual of all these spermatazoa floating around in the universe like an episode from Woody Allen's Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex...
