I'm an uncle!

Dear Friends -

My brother Greg and his wife had a baby boy on Saturday, December 17, at 5:45 pm:

His name is Damien Gregory Peteler, he's almost 8 pounds, almost 22" long, both mom and the baby are healthy.

I'm an uncle!

That's funny. My brother's middle name is Damien. My folks named him after the saint...and this was a few years before the release of The Omen....but naturally, people have given him guff about it ever since.

I was going to name my kid that if I had one on June 6 ,2006. Alas, I have missed that date. So, if I have one on July 7, 2007, I'm naming it Jackpot.

Siblings having children is a wonderful thing. You can spoil them, play with them, learn something from them and then give them back before car insurance and college tuition come due. Best to your whole family on the new little one!
