Good article here.

I feel better every day, riding our 100-mpg scooters rather than our 8-mpg rod.

I live right around the corner from a motorcycle dealership. I have scooter envy every day.

Y'know, where you live it would be the smartest vehicle to own if you own ANY vehicle.

Actually, I owned a bike for five years or so, long before you met me. It is cheap and easy on gas, but there are a lot of very bad riding days in New York. Worse (as you know), any piece of debris on the road can kill you (road debris being something we have in abundance); when you're in heavy traffic at 50 mph-plus, you don't have enough time to react.

Nonetheless, I hear the siren song evey day, especially in warm weather. I actually went in and looked at a secondhand Honda Magna V45 in December (a good bike buying month here), but didn't pull the trigger. Maybe if I were more convinced it wasn't a midlife crisis on two wheels... : )
