...since the last installment, I went outside and tied- and staked-down the newly restored carport to help prevent it from flopping around as it had before. Also cleared the gutters on the garage and the house. For those of you who know me well, you'll be aware that climbing onto the roof of the house and clearing the gutters 20 feet above the cement patio out back is worthy of cheer.
Also cleared off the front patio (oak trees around the house lose leaves all winter, sigh) and bricked the area around the A/C unit to prevent mud-splash during rain storms.
Also, if you're a home-owner and do not own one of those fabulous gutter-scoopers, rush out right now and get yourself one! Makes scooping out that mucky leaf-goo soooo much nicer.

I had jack put up gutter screens and that seems to do a good job - a few times a year I spray the roof down and such - once in a while I have Jack come over to clean them up because I do not climb ladders
