What: Kerry & Edwards visit Lawrence
When: Friday August 6th, 11:30 pm
Where: Lawrence Amtrak station: 413 E. 7th Street, Lawrence KS
Why: Kerry & Edwards are bringing their campaign for change to Kansas!

It sounds like they'll be in town for about ten minutes, but still sounds cool. I've never seen a prez candidate in person! Anybody planning to attend? Sounds like tmseay and others are going, and I'll try to make it if'n I get my grading done in time.

OK, let me get this straight. I know they're touring the US on a train (heard that on NPR yesterday), but they're stopping at the fucking Amtrack station/hellhole instead of our lovely tourist center cum train depot in North Lawrence? Who planned that one?
