If you've been wanting to go to James Gunn's and my Science Fiction Writers Workshop this year, you had better apply soon! We are almost full, but still have a couple of slots open.

Kij Johnson's Science Fiction & Fantasy Novel Writers Workshop is already full.

Also available during this period of time (and in the same location) is the Writer's Retreat, where you can get away from your mundane life and focus on writing during our writing-intensive program.

If you're interested in taking the Intensive English Institute on the Teaching of Science Fiction (either for credit or as an auditor), contact me soon so we can plan for your attendance (and you can start reading soon!).

Finally, don't forget the Campbell Conference and Campbell/Sturgeon Awards Ceremony held during the weekend between the Workshops and the Institute.

Hope to see you there!

Best,
Chris

Dude, you forgot one:

The inaugural Arian "How to drink like a Rock Star Writer." workshop. :)

Or "How to get beat up like a dominant-paradigm-enforcer-writer-dude" workshop.

I see you glanced at the outrage I apparently caused by asking that we all be more civil to one another :)

A-yup, and almost wrote, "You might find it informative to discover that the writer is not a 'heterosexual white male,' but resisted the temptation to feed the outrage.

Yeah, Kij was right, some people just want to be angry. Walk away :)

Looking forward to the SF Institute & Campbell Conference!

Also, motorcycle riding needs to happen soon; not this weekend, but soon. :D

We're awaiting word from our banquet vendors, trying to decide between using the Union (a bit more expensive) and Mrs. E's (where we held it a couple of times - as when Williamson and Wilson won).

What do you recommend? Did you like Mrs. E's?

I had no problems with E's.

Ever consider moving the benquet off campus?
