Testing... testing...

This is cross-posting from my new Dreamwidth account and on my LiveJournal account.

Now I'm testing editing this to see if it also edits at LJ.

Also: Please let me know if you have a Dreamwidth account so we can friend one another, or whatever they call it there.

Good evening!
Chris

Awesomeness, cross-posting and cross-editing works. Woohoo!

what the heck is this thing?
i barged in on your test! you disabled anonymous commenting there, or i would have left this oh-so-exciting comment there.
:)

How? I didn't find you could do that at all....Every time there are a bunch of NEW comments on LJ you have to important the post and comments again...there may be a function to fix this in the future (I queried) but not yet.

I just meant that the post loaded at both places, not the comments, too.

Interesting - didn't know you could import everything! How does one do that?

go to Home click on it and you'll see "import contact" follow instructions from there. It's very easy. If you "reimport" in order to pick up the comments from LJ (and don't care about losing those that are in dw) you'll get a double post in dw, one of which you can then delete.

Hm; I can't find Home and "import contact" doesn't turn up anything in Help. Do you have a paid account?

Your dw home page--look on top of the page, under your name and profile...believe me, it's there -everyone has it.

Ah, I found it, thanks! But apparently it takes a while for it to appear. Here's the message I get:

The logged-in homepage hasn't been created yet, but here are some links to use while you're waiting:

Update Journal
Reading Page

Nope, Chris. On that home page there are five options buttons at the top:
create organize read explore shop...

Put your cursor over "organize" and you'll see "import content"

I'm on DW as kossari_mage, though I haven't done much with the account yet.

I've heard vague mentions of this Dreamwidth thing. What do you think of it? I might be tempted to move over.
