Campbell Conference update!

What are you doing on the weekend of July 9-12? Attending the Campbell Conference in Lawrence, KS, I hope!

Special-guest update here. Note that Cory Doctorow will be here this year, as will Ian R. MacLeod - who'll be part of the Writer's Workshop for several days! Unfortunately, Fred Pohl is fighting health issues and will likely not make it again this year. Many more special guests are starting to get lined up, so don't miss out!

Tragically, quite apart from the fact I can't actually find an airfare to get to Lawrence, I will be at a conference of my own, rather closer to home (and almost certainly lacking in good barbecue).

Your flight should be to Kansas City. Lawrence is as close to the airport as some parts of the metro area. And MCI has some of the lowest air fares in the country.

Oh, I know how it's done, as I came to Lawrence last year. However, I live in the UK and this year I'm broke so I'm not leaving the country at all, more's the pity.

Having been to every Readercon since the beginning, I can assure you that it's a heck of a lot more than Charles Brown, who's just one person and only began coming a couple of years ago.
