For elsewhere in the country, try typing "voter registration" and your town. You just need to fill in your name and viola! You get to find out who's your representative and so on. Plus it's verification you're registered (don't seem to get a card in KS).

Hurray, I am registered. This may be the first ever election that I will vote in.
Also, they gave me a card when I registered. Getting the card was actually the reason that I registered, I needed an additional form of ID for something and a voter registration card was the easiest thing to get.
