Started off with massive amounts of work (again), grading and working on websites and meetings and more. Then a fun class, with students presenting about the future of technology, AI, and armageddon scenarios. Come 7pm, headed home for a cookout in my backyard with friends.

Beautiful, dynamic weather today in Kansas: steady winds of 30mph, with gusts up to 45mph. Combine that with a backyard fire-pit and wildly swaying trees, and you get an exciting night full of energy and life. I also discovered why cities trim trees near power lines: When the damp, spring branches rub against the high-tension wires, you get a really cool and scary display of firefly-like lights strung along the wire... only the fireflies spew sparks out their bottoms. Cool! On the other hand, also worrying.

Plus the Moon is nearly full. I love the energy of spring in the Midwest. What a night!

According to my calendar the moon was full last Wednesday, so it's on the wane. And you are the astro porn guy? ;)

:-D

By "almost full," I meant it was not quite full. Sorry, I should have said, "waning gibbous" ;-)

The moon was quite beautiful from the outfield hill of the ballpark here on Tuesday night, when I almost got hit by a grand slam ball as the Shox took down the Jayhawks 22-7.

(Bwa ha ha!)

It was even lovelier the next night, when the Shox took out OK State 13-7.
