Violence:

Rep. Nick Milroy tackled while trying to enter Capitol.

"It's cool, it's cool. I can understand why the cops would tackle me. I'm a Democrat, after all, and those aren't legal residents here anymore." I might have gotten the quote a little off, but that's the gist of it ;-)

I do look forward to what's next in our gloriously unified nation. Maybe we'll start having gladatorial games where lions eat liberals, live and streaming on the Web!

In other political news, John Stewart once again proves he is the nation's seemingly only source of clear-headed news:

He is so on the money (heh heh) that it's just depressing. Wow, how can neocons live with themselves when they speak out of both sides of their mouths like that? Oh, yeah, because they're getting MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to do so.

Well, you get paid billions of dollars and only have to work a few hours a day, right? Oh, wait, that's CEOs.

You know what really grinds my gears? That these people somehow appeal to the "down home Americans." WHY?? Don't you know they don't like you? They wouldn't eat in the same restaurants you do? That they hire the illegal aliens they're always spewing about to do the work on their houses and in their gardens instead of you??

Have you ever seen Idiocracy? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/

I hear you! Every conservative Republican I know makes relatively little money; I always wonder what they thing they're getting out of voting the way they do. Then I remember: Republicanism is about selfishness; that is, they either hope that one day they'll become wealthy and benefit from their voting history or at least they don't want to support people who are even poorer than they are, so gov't officials can easily scare them about their taxes lining the pockets of welfare mothers. Or keeping crackheads in their drug of choice. It drives me crazy.

That movie looks pretty entertaining. And depressing.

I was going to go with my normal, "Oh, as usual, dear," but this is more of a "GAAAAHHHH!!!!" What the freakin'.... He was actually wearing his ID in a very visible place, and they still couldn't figure out that he was allowed to be there? There's just one question in my mind..."How dumb..."

If you don't understand how neocons can talk out of both sides of their mouth, there's another Daily Show skit where two Daily Show regulars debate whether FOX News is evil or stupid. It's a trip.
