I remember seeing some time ago a pretend news article (maybe in The Onion) set "after the Rapture," in which friends were interviewed about those who were lifted up, or whatever happens.

The premise was that the Rapture *actually* took Unitarian Universalists, who inadvertently left behind a lot of sensible shoes and semiprecious stone jewelry. I wish I could find that article again. It was awesome.
