See how the hillside goes from dusty to dark-streaked? The good folks at the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission identify this as from water flowing out of the hillside.

My brain fills in all sorts of creepy reasons for the changes in those images, and most of them have nothing to do with water. Still...COOLNESS.

Hmmmm-I wonder if it's water, or some other liquefied gas?
I recall a sci-fi book I read once (The Code of the Life-Maker) where the occupants of the planet drank liquid....ammonia, I think it was, or the planet's rivers were ammonia.
I wouldn't think that Mars would warm up enough to liquefy H2O.
