Aaaaaaaaa!

Seriously? People who aren't the Phelpses are MEMBERS of this abomination? And they're running for political positions where they can dictate that our children's future includes hatred and ignorance?

Can you even imagine how Dark Ages that Kansas could become should someone like that get on the Board of Education? The mind boggles.

Click the image to see the HuffPo article and more people messing with the Phelpses.

If you live in the appropriate district, please vote this lunatic off the island. Thank you.

This has been a public service announcement. Spread the word.

He's probably just running so Walt Chappell can feel mainstream ....

I know, I worked for his opponent. :) But the message still applies.

Carolyn Campbell is a good choice to re-elect.

Ha! On a related note, here's how I responded to [livejournal.com profile] carmy_w, who first alerted me to this:

Rather than "ID," let's call it what it is: "Religionist Anti-Truth," or "People for the Reduction of Human Intelligence."

With the $5.00 he got in campaign contributions he could hold a kaffeeklatsch. I am sure the money would go that far.

I don't think he's gonna get the votes, somehow.

In a race with someone like this, a total liberal could probably get the nod, even in "certain regions" of Kansas.

I think a lot of very conservative (but not necessarily very religious) voters got bitten by this the first two times around, and are not fond of being the laughingstock of the entire damn world, let alone the country.

So in this one case, I fully expect people to do their research. Or at least hope they will. Heaven knows we ought to be more than twice shy of it already!

The District 4 incumbent managed it. She's worth keeping.

All of the board members from even districts are up for re-election this year.

Here's a link to the map, but I can't get the darn thing to open on my computer.
