Spreading the word from Paul Lim, the director of EAT (English Alternative Theater):

Please attend the free EAT Labor Day staged reading of "This Is How It Goes," a new play by maverick playwright Neil LaBute, at 8 PM on Monday September 4th at the Lawrence Arts Center (9th & New Hampshire). Libations and other refreshments will be served at the event.
A number of people have asked me what the play is about. Without giving the show away, all I can say is that it's a very edgy and funny examination of RACE, CLASS and GENDER. A Caucasian woman has married her high school boyfriend, a black athlete. Years later she meets a casual friend of theirs from high school, someone who now ingratiates himself in strange ways into their lives. This play is in the tradition of LaBute's "In the Company of Men" and "The Shape of Things," so expect adult language and situations, as well as a surprise ending.
Please help spread the word about this FREE EAT event.
